In the vibrant, traditional context of Banashankari 2nd Stage, Bangalore, our project stands as a testament to the artistry of minimalist design. Set on a modest 30 x 50 feet plot facing East, this residence captures hearts with its simplistic elegance and serene ambiance.

Drawing inspiration from the works of Piet Mondrian and Gerrit Rietveld, the elevation of the house embodies a planar abstraction reminiscent of their iconic artworks and architectural styles. Clean lines, geometric forms, and a subdued color palette create a sense of tranquility and harmony within the space.

Despite catering to a family of nine, the planning of the residence prioritizes spatial efficiency, ensuring that every square foot is utilized purposefully without compromising on comfort. Abundant natural light floods the interiors, accentuating the sense of openness and serenity, while large windows and strategically placed skylights enhance the connection to the outdoors.

In a cultural context rich with visual variety and intricate detailing, achieving minimalism can be a challenging yet rewarding endeavor. As the architect, the challenge was to distill complexity into pure simplicity. The result? When one gazes upon the project, Anand Residence, their heart skips a beat not because of opulence or grandeur, but rather due to the profound impact of simplistic elegance.
